The Security Calendar 2026–27

Fairs, Forums and Meetings Worth Watching.

This week a colleague and security partner called me from the road. He was on his way to Security Essen. I was not, because I had forgotten it was on.

It is not a comfortable admission, but I suspect it is a common one. When client work fills the diary, the events that keep us current are the first to disappear: the fairs where new technology appears, the conferences where colleagues compare notes, the forums where tomorrow's threats are discussed before they reach our clients. Missing one is no disaster. Missing them as a habit is how practitioners slowly lose touch with the market they advise on.

In a world where we are constantly connected online, there is still real value in meeting face to face. Call it old school, but trust, professional relationships and the exchange of experience are often built more effectively over a conversation, a coffee or a handshake than through another screen.

So I have made myself an overview, and I am sharing it here. It covers the main security fairs, conferences and forums from now until the end of 2027. That includes the large exhibitions and the professional association meetings, and also the smaller gatherings on threat assessment and information influence that matter to those of us who protect people rather than places.

It is a working list, not a complete one. I will update it every quarter, and suggestions are welcome.
