About the founder

Björn Rifesser, founder of Ombrex Consulting and co-founder of Ombrexgroup.com. International security advisor and CPO, formerly Head of Security to UHNWI principals in high-exposure and elevated-threat environments. He brings twenty plus years of international protective experience across five continents and an MSc in Diplomacy and Security Studies from Liverpool John Moores University, built on a solid earlier base in IT and project management that still shapes how he plans, structures, and runs operations today. His applied research on cognitive warfare, influence operations, and platform-enabled perception management is published on this platform and integrated into how engagements are scoped and delivered.
He has built and led high-performing, multidisciplinary, multicultural protection teams, drawing on a long-standing personal passion for security, international relations, and science. Fluent in four languages, with life on three continents and long roots in traditional martial arts, an influence that shows up in the field as a calm, de-escalation-first presence rather than a hard one. He works by building bridges rather than walls, with the cultural sensitivity and strategic empathy needed to read people, motives, and environments accurately, and the interdisciplinary lens to address root causes rather than symptoms. Engagements are delivered through close team work, meticulous planning, and tailor-made protective and training solutions designed to fit the principal, the organisation, and the environment in which they actually operate.
